GIS combines both data and map images and presents it in a highly informative method, which facilitates the rapid decision making process. This process improves service, generates greater operational efficiency and increase the quality of information.

The SLK ITES methods and processes concentrate on simplifying complex sets of information.
This is achieved by first breaking the data into simpler forms, then displaying 'logical sets' of this data as multiple layers in a single visual display.
This process aids the user when querying, better supports logical operating systems, facilitates Geo-coding and scripting and also streamlines mathematical calculating within the data set.

Cartography
Information such as contours, roads, railroads, water features, buildings and political boundaries present on the cartographic maps are captured. All the features are depicted by patterns for generation of cartographic maps. Also these features are converted to a GIS database.

Cadastral
Cadastral mapping involves capturing land base information such as Blocks, Parcels and Lots. The land base data also includes ownership details, size and location in terms of street address.
Source maps containing drawings of parcel layout are converted into digital files and these are integrated to generate a single topologically correct GIS database.

Flood
Conversion of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) maps to Digital Data.
Creation of Seamless GIS database for Flood Insurance Determination.

Water
Capturing of Land base features like roads and boundaries along with Water Distribution System features which includes Pipes, Hydrants and Valves.

GIS database is used for maintaining Water Distribution System.

Topography
Conversion of Topographic maps Transportation, Contour, Water features and Political boundaries to GIS Database - Digital Line Graphics (DLG), Digital Vector Database (DVD) format.

Map Scales - 1:24000 , 1:50000
Maps Converted - Over 1000

Telecom
GIS Database creation for Telecom utilities. Telecom network comprises of various types of cables like aerial, buried, fiber optic, etc. and equipments like terminals, cross connects, service area interfaces, load coils, splices and pull boxes.

These are converted into digital files, integrated to generate a seamless GIS database.

Emergency Management Application
Emergency Management Application is a prime use in GIS to pre and post analyze the natural and Technological disaster caused by the source which results in devastation of day-to-day life.
We have developed many such applications which includes hazard Material, Storm tracking, Flood application etc.

These applications which when fed with relevant input, reports the result like number of fatalities and injuries, total barricades required, date and time with location, nearest evacuation locations, public building affected, emergency numbers etc with graphic.


Flood Zone Determination
This Project involves in Parcel level manual Flood Zone Determination for identifying the nature of flood and its intensity in partially flooded parcels.
